Hi everyone, and welcome to my new blog.
Some readers may already know me, but if you’re new, my name is Mike Kasaboski and in my former role here at York University I was the coordinator of York’s RED Zone program. I’ve also been the Orientation & Student Experience Assistant, a role that saw me planning and organizing Parents Orientation, Orient the Leaders and Welcome Week; just a few of the many great events and awesome units that all call the Office of Student Community & Leadership Development (SCLD) home. I’ve recently taken over a brand new position at SCLD as the Student Engagement & Media Coordinator. As part of this change I’ve handed over RED Zone coordination to Shaila Khan. She and her team are already doing amazing things in the ‘Zone, creating a welcoming space for transitioning new students and adding all sorts of new innovation.
